Getting Christmas trees...

This year, we had Thanksgiving in Bear Lake at my parents house. It was great to be home. I love that valley...it is georgeous! The day after Thanksgiving, we went to get Christmas trees with my Dad, Randi and Nate and Kristina. We hiked all over so Nate could find his "Grizwald" tree. It was good to get out into the trees and snow. We had a blast! I LOVE the holidays! Bring on Chirstmas!

Yeah!...

I LOVE the holidays, especially Christmas. Every year I get so excited to decorate the tree and the house, make candy and listen to Christmas music... and every year, Ky grumbles a little when I tell him its time to bring up the tree from down stairs. He always says that we can just not have the tree that year...and that we really don't need to put lights on the house (we have never had lights on the house)...a bit of a scrooge. But, I always hound him till he brings up the tree and we decorate it and have a great holiday. Today, I was driving home from work, it was dark outside...and as I rounded the corner to our house, I almost drove right past our house.... Ky was outside, hanging lights on the house, OF HIS OWN FREE WILL! :) He surprised me with a little early Christmas cheer. I guess after five years of marriage, my Holiday happiness has rubbed off! I was a great surprise!

Dove Hunting...And the fainting duck

Here is a pic of Kyle and Shane dove hunting earlier this fall. I haven't gotten any other pics of the other trips... but they had a good time. They just recentley went phesant and duck hunting. They came home with a few birds... and dropped them off at Kyles parents garage... A while later, Rod, Ky's dad, was in his back yard and saw somthing, out of the corner of his eye, moving in the garage... one of those dang ducks was walking around the garage, quacking! Keep in mind that Shane shot the duck (or so he says :)), Scout retrived it, they carried it around for a while and drove home with it from American Falls. Conclusion... Shane must have missed but scared it so bad it fainted... :) Better luck next time! :)

Remembering Grandpa Flahaut...

This is a late post, sorry. Ky's family gathered late this summer in the mountains to remember Grandpa Flahaut. He loved the mountains and enjoyed nature, so it was fitting to remeber him there. We sure miss him.

Shoshone Falls trip...

A couple of weekends ago, Ky and I went on a camping trip to Shoshone Falls with Kathryn and Bradley and their kids and Shane and Kim and their kids.... We had never been there before. It was beautiful and HOT! So after we looked at the falls, we went up the road to a lake and went swimming. They have a nice little set up, roped off area for the kids to swim in, a floating dock, a diving board and place to cliff jump (which I am way to chicken to do!), but Ky and Bradley jumped off of them. We had a great time!

Down at the swimmin' hole...

Earlier this week, our friends Shawn and Lacie took us to a newly found swimming hole on the Portneuf River... we took the dogs, their was a rope swing and it was beautiful! We had so much fun playing with the dogs and swimming, and watching Ky and Shawn swing off the rope swing. Its a nice break from the mid-summer heat!

Fourth Of JuLy...

On the fourth of July, we went camping again with my family... This year, some of Ky's family joined us, it was GREAT... Shane, Hagen, Kim, Marianne and Erika all came. Ky taught Erika and her friend how to fish, clean, cook and eat lake troute. Scout sprained his tail... we thought it was broken, but it turns out he over used it swimming too much and sprained it. (Who knew they can sprain their tail?) We watched the Montpelier fireworks. It was a good fourth. I love spending time with family! FYI...Ky really was happy in the bottom picture... the flash was very bright and we took the picture like three times... :)

BFF GiRls NigHt OuT!

These are my very best friends. We went to school together and after college we all got married and went our separate ways. Laney is now in Texas (way to far away), Natalie is in Salt Lake City, and luckily Amanda and I live right next door here in Pocatello. Every year we all try to get together at least once for a girls night. We went to AppleBees (our resurant of choice in college), we got icecream, drove by our old house we all used to rent (somone thought Nat was a teenage driver just getting her drivers license:)!), we stayed up late, talked alot and laughed alot more. We had so much fun! I love it when we all get back together. I am so glad to still have my best friends and I hope it never changes!

Easter Sunday...

We had a good Easter...pretty uneventful. We did go over to Ky's parents and watched our nieces and nephews hit some pinatas that Ky's mom made. They had a good time and it was fun to watch...

Blind Date...

Kyle's little sister, Erika and her friend MaKenna, are seniors this year and had a girls choice dance coming up. So I set them up on a blind date with Laney's little brothers from Bear Lake, twins, Jake and Andy. They had so much fun! I took some pics before the dance, they went as Mario and Peach and Luigi and Peach. What a cute idea! I wanted to post some pics of the cute couples!

Poor Scout...

Last week we took Scout to the vet to get neutered...not sure I spelled that right... He is almost 3 years old and they say the older they are, the harder it is on them. But spring is coming and he is always all to interesting in crusing the neighborhood for chicks! So we decided to get him fixed but because of his age, it was pretty hard on him. He has to wear a cone collar and is pretty miserable. He has starting to come around to his normal personality, but I did feel bad for him when we brought him home... Here are some pics... The first picture is what Scout looks like normally...Ky was so good with him...He will make a good dad one day.

Sledding...

A few weeks ago, Ky and I went sledding with Kyle's family. We had so much fun. Bradley and Doug brought their snowmachines. We built a fire to sit around and warmed up with chilli and hot chocolate. Kyle almost dumped me off the back of the snowmobile, but we had a blast! I don't have snow clothing, so I am dressed head to toe in Kyle's cameo hunting clothes... :) Here are some pics...

Scout...

A few weeks ago, I was deep cleaning my house. Usually while I clean, Scout follows me around the house (always right beneth my feet). I had all of our launry sorted in our bedroom and had not noticed for a while that Scout wasn't following me around. I walked into our room and Scout was curled up on the floor in between the piles of cloths sleeping like this. I cracked up. I thought it was pretty funny. He woke up when I took a picture, but didn't move and went back to sleep. It was so cute I let him sleep on it and washed the pillow later. We love having Scout around...he keeps us pretty entertained!

Halloween

This is my friend Teri and I getting ready...

I started working at Idaho Central Credit Union this summer and I love it. Every year on Halloween, all 120 employee's in the Administration Bldg dress up in departments and put on a skit. So my department decided to dress up like Michael Jacksons Thriller music video. We have about twelve people in my dept, my supervisor (who dances very well) was Michael Jackson and the rest of us were Zombie dancers. We reinacted the music video and did the Thriller dance. It was pretty funny and we won the contest for best in show. Here are some pictures...somebody taped the dance...I don't know if I will have a copy. If I get one...I will post it. We are not real good dancers...so it was pretty funny.

I love Fall...

Fall is my absolute favorite season of the year. I look forward to it all year. The air gets crispy, the leaves turn, football season starts (not a huge football fan, but I like the idea of it in the fall) and the holidays are right around the corner. From the beginning of September thru the end of December. I love the first snow falls and the beginning of winter. We live across the street from a park here in the middle of town. It is small and not a lot of people know about it, so it stays fairly quiet. I just wanted to share the pretty fall view directly across the street. It is nice to look at the park through our front window, rather than someone's house.

Our Jackson Trip...

Last weekend we got to go to Jackson with Kyle's family. We had SO much fun. I wish we could have stayed longer! Kathryn and Bradley have a hook up on an AWESOME cabin there. Each family had thier own room and bathroom. It was huge and so much fun to stay in. Kathryn has some really good pics of the cabin on her blog. I got a few but hers turned out better. We went to the Alpine slides...it was great! I was a little chicken so I pulled the break alot and "grannied" my way down the slide and loved every minute. I'm not into speed...I like to saunder. :) Kyle on the other hand went down as fast as he could and it wasn't fast enough! :) Dana got pics of that...I can post them when I get them. We did a lot of shopping, playing games and hanging out. Saturday night we went to the Bar J Wranglers. I have been before, but this was Ky's first time. It was pretty fun, but I do have to say that I thought their last show I saw a couple of years ago was better. Not that they weren't good, but I did like the other one better. All in all it was good food and fun entertainment. We came home on Sunday and we drove around through Victor and over the pass. It was a gorgeous! We had so much fun and are so glad they invited us to stay with them!

Xbox All Nighter...

Kyle's brother Shane is visiting from Montana...So Ky, Shane and Bradley got together and played Xbox into the wee hours of the morning. They had a good time. Except, this morning when I got up...all the AA batteries were missing from the camera's and TV remotes!...Bradley?... :) (The controllers they use are cordless and take AA batteries.)

Late Summer Update...

Man, the summer is going by fast! I had my birthday on the 7th of July and Kyle had his on the 27th. We both had good b-days. I started a new job last week... I now am employeed at Idaho Central Credit Union as an Adjustments Officer. Kyle is getting ready to go back to school in a few weeks. He has been working siding for the last few weeks and HATES the summer heat. It gets pretty hot on top of the roof and next to the steel siding. I just got my copy of the new Twilight series book "Breaking Dawn"!! Love it! It is great so far! I am not quite half way through it, but all I want to do is read! Everyone at work and church is talking about it and I am afraid that if I don't get it read...someone will spill the beans. So, I continue to read constantly and drive Kyle crazy! :)

4th of July Weekend

We had such a good 4th of July weekend. We went camping with my family again this year. IT was so much fun. We pulled the trailer to the resivour in Bear Lake. It is about 10 minutes from my parents home. My dad brought his four wheeler, some pontune boats and their camper. I had a blast fishing off the boat, except that I got very sunburnt. Kyle brought his float tube and fished out of that. On the night of the 4th, we traveled back down to my parents house and watched the fireworks set off "M" hill. Scout had so much fun camping. He ran around the whole time...only stopping to to sleep briefly. We camped 15 ft. from the waters edge, so Scout was in the water most of the time. He slept for the better part of two days when we came home. He wore himself out. We hope eveyone had a great holiday!

About Us...

Kyle and I have been married for four years in September! The time has flown! We bought a little house in Pocatello. We don't have any kids yet, but we are hoping to soon. I am working at Wells Fargo Finanacial and Kyle is going to school at ISU to be a Machinist. He has one year left. We are excited to be half way done with his program. We have a chocolate lab named Scout. He is a good dog and very spoiled.
